Scruffy

Imperfect skin color and appearance (looks ‘Scruffy’) but a dense, crispy, juicy apple. Late mid-season. Released by the Midwest Apple Improvement Association.

Medium-high in crispness and juiciness, with medium sweetness and sourness. Consumers on average like this apple, especially the texture, but less-so the appearance.
